Summary:Lewis County's Contractor (Massana Construction, Inc.) will complete structural repairs to the Ferrier Road Bridge over Olequa Creek. It will be necessary to close Ferrier Road at milepost 3.49 to all through traffic during repairs to the Ferrier Road bridge. Ferrier Road will remain open for local access from either end up to, but not beyond the point of closure. Pursuant to RCW 47.48.010 and .020, this resolution will close Ferrier Road at milepost 3.49 in Section 08, Township 11 North, Range 2 West, W.M., beginning October 16, 2023, and ending November 30, 2023.

THE EXTENDED CLOSURE OF FERRIER ROAD TO ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC AT MP 3.49
WHEREAS, RCW 47.48.010 gives authority to the county legislative authority to close roads for a period of time; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for Massana Construction Inc. to complete structural repairs to the Ferrier Road Bridge over Olequa Creek; and
WHEREAS, to facilitate repairs of the bridge, it will be necessary to close Ferrier Road at Mile Post 3.49; and
WHEREAS, Ferrier Road will remain open for local access from either end up to but not beyond the point of closure at milepost 3.49 and other county roads are available for detour.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that, pursuant to RCWs 47.48.010 and 47.48.020, beginning October 16, 2023, and ending November 30, 2023, that area of Ferrier Road described above in Section 08, Township 11 North, Range 2 West, W.M., shall be closed to all through traffic.
