Resolution

WHEREAS, WAC 246-272A outlines the requirements for onsite septic systems in Washington state; and

WHEREAS, the state updated WAC 246-272A effective April 1, 2025, prompting the need to update Lewis County Code 8.40; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners will hold a hearing on or after 10 a.m. August 26, 2025, to consider updates to Lewis County Code 8.40 On-Site Sewage Systems.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC will hold a public hearing in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room in the Historic Courthouse at 351 N.W. North Street in Chehalis at or after 10 a.m. August 26, 2025, to consider and take public testimony about proposed Ordinance 1366, which would amend Lewis County Code 8.40 On-Site Sewage Systems to align with WAC 246-272A; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, postings and publications as required by law.
