Summary:

A property owner has requested the vacation of portion of undeveloped Roppert Road.  Resolution 24-444, passed by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) directed the County Engineer to examine that portion of undeveloped Roppert Road.  On December 11, 2024, the Engineer's Report on the matter was filed with the BOCC.  This resolution sets January 14, 2025 as the date for the hearing on the County Engineer's Report.  This resolution also calls for the Clerk of the Board to proceed with all the necessary notifications, posting and publication

Resolution

WHEREAS, RCW 36.87 allows for the vacation of a county road that is found useless to the needs of the County pending a report of the County Engineer; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 24-444, passed by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on December 3, 2024, directed the County Engineer to examine a portion of Roppert Road and report his findings to the BOCC; and

WHEREAS, as required by RCW 36.87, the report of the County Engineer on the matter of the proposed vacation of the following described portion of Roppert Road was filed in the office of the BOCC on December 11, 2024, to wit:

All that portion of the easterly 664.28' of undeveloped Roppert Road right of way in Sections 23 & 26, Township 12 North, Range 2 West, W.M.; and

WHEREAS, the report and all related materials have been reviewed by the BOCC and found appropriate for further proceedings.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all necessary notifications, posting and publication.
