Summary:

An Engineer's Report has been completed on the matter of the establishment of Ghosn Lane, and it is recommended the road be adopted into the County road system.  This resolution would provide for public notice and publication, and set a hearing for the Board to consider establishing the road as a County owned and maintained road.

Resolution

WHEREAS, Resolution 21-143 directed the County Engineer to file an Engineer Report when acquisition of all necessary rights of way have been acquired, and at the completion of the new public road lying west of the presently established Baker Drive; and

WHEREAS, the County Engineer has filed said Engineer Report and recommends that it is in the public's best interest to establish the new road as Ghosn Lane; and

WHEREAS, said Engineer Report and all related materials have been reviewed by the BOCC and found appropriate for further proceedings; and

WHEREAS, RCW 36.81.070 requires a public hearing on the Engineer Report, and RCW 36.81.080 requires a hearing on the matter of establishing a county road.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC will hold a public hearing on the County Engineer Report and proposed establishment of Ghosn Lane at or after 10 a.m. September 5, 2023. The hearing will take place at the Historic Lewis County Courthouse, Commissioner's Hearing Room; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, postings, and publications as required by law.
