WHEREAS, Lewis County issued a Call for Bids on June 13, 2023, and the responses were as follows:

Northwest Cascade, Inc.	Puyallup, WA	$1,106,505.00
Midway Underground	Toledo, WA	$   898,000.00
Rognlin's, Inc.	Aberdeen, WA	$1,275,000.00

WHEREAS, post-bid it was discovered that a second bid form was included in the specifications from the consultant and could have caused confusion. Staff reviewed and determined that the discrepancy has no material effect on the bid numbers, and the County retains the right to waive informalities such as this in the bids; and

WHEREAS, staff recommends that the contract be awarded to Midway Underground from Toledo, Wash., and waives any informalities in the bid.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that informalities be waived and that the contract for the Rainier Site Improvements Project #31-2309 be awarded to Midway Underground; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon presentation of an acceptable contract, the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) or his designee be authorized to sign same.
