Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Youth Services Center was constructed in 1978 and is in dire need of upgrading and refurbishment to meet the needs of the programs and services necessary to continue to provide effective, efficient and safe services to "At-Risk" youth in Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County has adopted a 10 year Capital Facilities Plan identifying the Juvenile Court Renovation as one of the priorities of the plan and funding has been obtained for this project through Bonds, Grants and 1/10 of 1% Jail and Juvenile sales tax revenue; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County staff and KMB Architects have prepared designs, specifications and bid documents for this project to meet the needs of the programs and services provided through the Youth Services Center and Juvenile Court.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Internal Services is instructed to issue a Call for Bids and Contract Drawings and Specifications for Juvenile Court Renovation and Addition Project, #CFP31-2101. Bids for this proposal shall be submitted to the Clerk of the BOCC (351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, CMS-01, Chehalis, WA 98532) by or before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, and will be opened on or after 3:00 p.m. on September 8, 2021, subject to official proposal addenda that establishes an alternate bid due date or opening time.
