ISSUING PUBLIC NOTICE LEWIS COUNTY IS SEEKING COVERAGE UNDER THE WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY'S CONSTRUCTION STORMWATER NPDES STATE WASTE DISCHARGE PERMIT FOR THE COWLITZ RIVER PUBLIC ACCESS POINT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Transportation Improvement Plan includes the Cowlitz River Access Point Project; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County is seeking coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Construction Stormwater NPDES State Waste Discharge Permit; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County will accept written comments in order to consider and evaluate whether discharges from this project would cause a measurable change in receiving water quality.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners desires to issue a public notice the Cowlitz River Access Point Project requires coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Construction Stormwater NPDES State Waste Discharge Permit.
