Summary:

Authorize the elected Sheriff of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, or their designee, to execute a purchase order with Brite through sole source procurement for the one year renewal of the Getac cloud storage system.

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office seeks to extend an ending service contract for Getac cloud storage with Brite for an additional one year; and

WHEREAS, the current storage solution is proprietary to the Getac camera system used by all of our deputies carrying body-worn cameras and for some in-car patrol vehicle camera systems; and

WHEREAS, the Getac cloud service stores and categorizes these files to be used for court cases, public disclosure requests, and internally; and

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office also uses this system to gain access to the videos and files for court cases; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office has anticipated this expense and has funds in their 2026 budget for this purchase.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the Lewis County Sheriff, or his designee, to execute a purchase order with Brite using the sole source procurement method, in an amount not to exceed $52,682.00, including tax, to extend its Getac cloud storage for one additional year.
