There will be no budget impact to the general fund. Salary payments for this positioin will be paid from the Lewis County Treasuer's office Investment portfolio fund which is managed under the auspices of the Lewis County Treasurer's office alone.
The reason for the increased hourly rate requested by Mr. Reynolds is based upon his research that indicates a rate of $200.00 for similar consulting services requiring his level of expertise and experience. He has agreed to continue at the $150.00 per hour rate.

EXTEND TIMELINE AND INCREASE SALARY LEVEL FOR NON-UNION EXTRA HELP INVESTMENT AND BANKING OFFICER
WHEREAS, Resolution 26-252 approved the hiring of Mr. Rodney Reynolds as a non-union extra help employee through November 3, 2026, at a rate of $100.00 per hour for up to 10 (ten) hours per week; and
WHEREAS, Rodney Reynolds has informed the Treasurer's Office that he will not be available to continue under the current agreement after October 7, 2026, due to other time commitments, and the Treasurer's Office will still require Rodney Reynolds' services on a more limited basis through December 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Rodney Reynolds has agreed to provide his services at a reduced commitment of up to two (2) hours per week at a rate of $150.00 per hour.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners hereby extends the Extra Help Investment and Banking Officer support position held by Rodney Reynolds through December 31, 2026, at a revised commitment of up to two (2) hours per week at a rate of $150.00 per hour.
