Resolution
CHANGE THE OWNER OF RECORD FROM WEYERHAEUSER COLUMBIA TIMBERLANDS TO FORECASTLE TIMBER COMPANY DUE TO A CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP
WHEREAS, Lewis County approved the lease of the Hopkins Hill radio repeater communication site - parcel No. 034099002000 - from Weyerhaeuser Columbia Timberlands LCC via Resolution 16-246, with said lease agreement recorded by the Lewis County Auditor's Office under Auditor's File Number 3457960 (attached hereto); and
WHEREAS, the property subject to the lease agreement was previously owned by Weyerhaeuser Columbia Timberlands; and
WHEREAS, ownership of the leased property has been transferred to Forecastle Timber Company LLC, which has succeeded Weyerhaeuser as the owner and lessor under the lease agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of Lewis County to formally acknowledge this change in ownership and to update records to reflect Forecastle Timber Company LLC as the current lessor, while leaving all other terms and conditions of the lease agreement unchanged unless otherwise amended in writing.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby acknowledges that ownership of the leased Hopkins Hill radio repeater communication site - parcel No. 034099002000 - has been transferred from Weyerhaeuser Columbia Timberlands to Forecastle Timber Company LLC. The BOCC recognizes Forecastle Timber Company LLC as the successor lessor under the existing Lease Agreement; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED except for the substitution of Forecastle Timber Company LLC in place of Weyerhaeuser Columbia Timberlands as the lessor, all terms, conditions, obligations, and provisions of the existing Lease Agreement shall remain in full force and effect unless modified by a separate written amendment executed by the parties; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC authorizes and directs the 911 Executive Director to execute any lease amendment, consent, acknowledgment, estoppel or other documents necessary to effectuate this change in ownership and to take any actions reasonably necessary to implement this resolution; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
DONE IN OPEN SESSION this 6th day of October, 2026.
