Resolution

WHEREAS, Radio Service staff maintain and service a network of 22 communications sites throughout the county that provide first responder radio coverage; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County's radio sites currently have no climate control, which puts valuable Radio infrastructure at risk of overheating and failure; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County has identified six radio communication sites at which it will have heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units installed:

• BawFaw
• Cooks
• Crego
• Fire District 14 (Randle Fire)
• Hopkins
• Toledo

WHEREAS, a mandatory pre-bid walk will take place at 8 a.m. June 23, 2026, at the Radio Shop, 542 Center St. Chehalis Wash., 98532; and

WHEREAS, proposals must be submitted electronically through OpenGov (https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lewiscountywa) and are due by 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby issues a call for bids for the "HVAC Installations for the Radio Sites" project. Bids must be submitted online through the County's procurement portal, OpenGov (https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lewiscountywa) and are due by 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2026; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC hereby directs the BOCC Clerk of the Board is instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications for said purpose.
