WHEREAS, Lewis County established a trust account for the purpose of administering the county's Section 125 plan which includes health and dependent care flexible spending accounts; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 96-45 established a maintenance deposit to cover employee claims in the amount of $25,000; and

WHEREAS, there has been an increase in plan participation by county employees creating a need for additional funds in the trust account; and

WHEREAS, based on current enrollment an additional $25,000 is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners rescinds and replaces Resolution 96-45, hereby authorizing an increase to the trust account in the amount of $25,000 for the purpose of Section 125 plan claims activity; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Section 125 Trust Account will be increased to a total of $50,000 and the additional funds will be requested from the Lewis County Treasurer’s Office.
