Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) updated insurance premium contribution levels for non-represented employees and for most elected officials effective Jan. 1, 2020, via Resolution 20-017; and

WHEREAS, the BOCC increased the insurance premium contributions for non-represented employees covered under Aetna and MetLife for medical and dental insurance and for most elected officials covered under Aetna and MetLife for medical and dental insurance for 2026 during open public meetings in 2025; and

WHEREAS, this resolution ratifies action taken during the BOCC's open public meeting on November 3, 2025.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Lewis County shall contribute the sums set out in Attachment A for each non-represented employee covered under Aetna and MetLife for medical and dental insurance listed therein, effective January 1, 2026. The same contribution shall be made in respect of each of the following elected officials covered under Aetna and MetLife for medical and dental insurance of Lewis County at this time: Auditor, Clerk, District Court Judges, Coroner, County Commissioners and Treasurer. Such contributions may be applied to any plan offered by Aetna and MetLife for which each employee is eligible and in which he or she elects to enroll.
