Summary:Award Three Tower Modifications project to Day Wireless for remediation at Cooks Hill, Hopkins and Baw Faw sites.
RCW 39.04.270
Although this project is not funded by a grant, the next phase is, making the timing of this contract award crucial. Tower remediation must be completed before installing the microwave systems, which are funded through the COPS grant. All microwave system work must be finished by September 2026 to ensure expenses are processed in time for reimbursement. Staying on schedule with tower remediation is essential to meeting this deadline.
The lowest cost proposal was $304,604.00, which was $1386 dollars less than the recommended proposal, however the completion date was a month and a half longer.
After evaluating all submissions, the scoring committee selected Day Wireless as the recommended contractor. On December 17th the 911 Executive board agreed with the scoring committee. Day wireless’s proposal totaled $305,991.00 including tax, with an estimated completion timeline of 4.5 months from the date the contract is awarded.
