Summary:

Superior Court is seeking to ratify a professional services agreement between Lewis County and PPC Solutions for the 2026 Law and Justice Center security services.  The proposed agreement will reflect an increase from 2025 rates for services effective January 1, 2026 and will extend services through December 31, 2026.

Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Lewis County, Washington, has reviewed a Professional Services Agreement between Lewis County and PPC Solutions for the period of January 1-December 31, 2026; and

WHEREAS, PPC Solutions shall continue to provide two armed security officers and security services for the Lewis County Law and Justice Center January 1-December 31, 2026; and

WHEREAS, previous Resolution No. 24-070 recognized compensation for PPC Solutions at $15,060.35 per month/$38.20 per hour per officer for two armed security officers effective through December 31, 2024. Rates were unchanged for 2025 and will expire December 31, 2025; and

WHEREAS, under the new contract (January 1-December 31, 2026), PPC solutions is adjusting their rates based on the rising costs according to the Consumer Price Index and ultimately as a reflection of economic influences; and

WHEREAS, under the new contract, compensation for PPC Solutions is $15,604.42 per month (tax now applicable) which would be $39.58 per hour per armed security officer; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract for Lewis County.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Professional Services Agreement between PPC Solutions and Lewis County in the amount of $15,604.42 + tax ($16,915.20) per month for two armed security officers providing security services at the Lewis County Law and Justice Center for the period of January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, is hereby approved and the Superior Court Administrator is authorized to sign the same.
