Summary:

This resolution will ratify Supplement No. 1 with Northwest Heritage Consultants LLC, dba Cultural Resource Consultants (CRC), for the 2025 Annual Cultural Resources Services contract, ACCR2025, increasing the amount by $150,000.00 for a new maximum amount payable of $250,000.00.

The supplement is needed to accommodate task orders for cultural resources surveys at Rosebrook Road Slide, Independence Road Slide, Blue Creek at Spencer Road Fish Passage Restoration and construction monitoring for Berwick Creek at Bishop Road.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 25-087, approval from the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is required for all contracts, projects, agreement, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures totaling between $50,000 and $350,000; and

WHEREAS, the 2025 Annual Cultural Resources Services contract with Northwest Heritage Consultants LLC, dba Cultural Resource Consultants (CRC), was executed on March 6, 2025, to provide various cultural resource services for Lewis County Public Works projects; and

WHEREAS, additional services are required to accommodate task orders for cultural resource surveys at Rosebrook Road Slide, Independence Road Slide, Blue Creek at Spencer Road Fish Passage Restoration and construction monitoring for Berwick Creek at Bishop Road; and

WHEREAS, on August 21, 2025, the Director of Public Works approved Supplement No. 1 of the 2025 Annual Cultural Resources Services contract, ACCR2025, authorizing an increase of $150,000 for a maximum amount payable of $250,000, including applicable tax; and

WHEREAS, Supplement No. 1 extends the 2025 Annual Cultural Resources Services contract, ACCR2025, for a term of 12 months; and

WHEREAS, Supplement No. 1 of the 2025 Annual Cultural Resource Services contract, ACCR2025, is funded by FEMA Public Assistance grant funds, and WA Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) Salmon Recovery Funding Board (SRFB) and BA Fish Barrier Removal Board (FBRB) funds.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby ratifies the Public Works Director's signature for Supplement No. 1 of the 2025 Annual Cultural Resources Services contract, ACCR2025, with CRC, for a maximum amount payable of $250,000, including applicable tax, for a term of 12 months, funded by FEMA Public Assistance grant funds and RCO SRFB and FBRB funds.
