Resolution

WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Division of the Lewis County Public Works Department has determined that six pursuit-rated vehicles in the fleet are in need of replacement; and

WHEREAS, these six pursuit-rated vehicles will be 2026 replacements for the Lewis County Sheriff's Office; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) wishes to issue a call for bid for up to six new pursuit-rated SUV vehicles.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Public Works Department is instructed to prepare a call for bid specifications for up to six new pursuit-rated SUVs.

Lewis County Public Works is accepting electronic bid submissions. Bids can be completed and submitted at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lewiscountywa, or sealed bids may be delivered to the Lewis County Commissioners' Office (Lewis County Historic Courthouse, 2nd Floor, 351 NW North Street, Chehalis, WA 98532) by 12:15 p.m. on the date specified for opening and in an envelope clearly marked "sealed bid for one (1) or more new pursuit-rated SUV vehicles" - all bids to be opened at or after 12:15 p.m. July 30, 2025; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC Clerk of the Board is instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications to advertise for said purpose.
