WHEREAS, Lewis County seeks to assess current energy performance and determine the costs of facility and system upgrades necessary to meet Washington State energy performance standards as set forth in Chapter 19.27A RCW; and

WHEREAS, the Washington State Association of Counties awarded grant funding to Lewis County to complete this energy compliance work on selected county buildings; and

WHEREAS, the WSAC grant was accepted by Lewis County through Resolution 24-458 on December 17, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County identified the need to engage an experienced consultant to perform benchmarking, energy audits, compliance planning and cost estimation services as required by the grant scope; and

WHEREAS, Millig Design Build was selected to provide these services, including benchmarking energy use, conducting ASHRAE Level 2 audits, estimating costs for Energy Efficiency Measures and Clean Building compliance, and developing supporting energy and operations plans; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County has entered into a consultant agreement with Millig Design Build in the amount of $73,750, fully funded by the aforementioned grant.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the consultant agreement totaling $73,750, previously executed by the County Manager, is hereby ratified by the Board of County Commissioners.
