WHEREAS, The SWW Fair has received State Grant funding through the Washington State Department of Agriculture Fairs Program for $237,500 to improve the roof and repair the 4-H Barn at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County has requested proposals from the Small Works Roster for provision of such materials and labor deemed necessary to meet the requirements, scope and specifications and timeline of said project and received the following bids:

• Coastline Roofing & Construction Inc.: $307,884.50 plus tax
• Five Rivers Construction Inc.: $423,581.00 plus tax
• Kifer Construction LLC $218,370.62 plus tax
• Western Washington Construction LTD: $353,550.00 plus tax

WHEREAS, The proposals have been reviewed by Capital Facilities staff and appear to be responsive and meet the requirements of the project.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby awards the contract for the roof and repair of the 4-H Barn at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds Project to Kifer Construction LLC, of Centralia, Washington; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby authorizes the County Manager or his designee to sign said contract on behalf of the BOCC.
