Resolution

WHEREAS, there is a need to hold a public hearing for the purpose of amending the 2025 budget for Current Expense and various funds pursuant to RCW 36.40.100; and

WHEREAS, all those wishing to speak for or against the amendment shall be afforded the opportunity to be heard. Said amendment will be available to review and can be obtained from the Board of County Commissioners’ (BOCC) Office. Written comments may be submitted to the BOCC prior to or during said hearing.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearing will be held before the Lewis County BOCC in the Historic Courthouse, 351 N.W. North Street, Chehalis, Washington, on the 16th day of September 2025. The hearing will be held at or after 10:00 a.m. to consider an amendment to various departments within the 2025 budget for Current Expense and various funds, increasing expenditures in the amount of $10,154,745 offset with an increase in revenue in the amount of $6,678,076 with a decrease in estimated ending fund balance of $3,476,669; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, postings, and publications as required by law.
