Updating the Lewis County Procurement Policy. The County Manager and Department Head contract signing authority has been updated. Thus, an accompanying update to the Procurement Policy is needed for consistency between the policies.

Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County must establish a procurement policy assigning authority and responsibility of offices and departments to ensure compliance with state and federal law; and

WHEREAS, the Code of Federal Regulations in the Uniform Grant Guidance (2 CFR 200.318) requires a non-federal entity receiving federal funding to document and adopt a procurement policy that reflects the applicable federal, state or local laws and regulations; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 24-363 last updated procurement procedures for Lewis County. A policy change in County Manager and Department Head contract signing authority warrants an additional update to Section 4 of the Lewis County Procurement Policy; and

WHEREAS, this resolution is intended to rescind and replace Resolution 24-363.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Lewis County Procurement Policy, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby adopted and shall be effective March 25, 2025.
