Summary:

A call for bids for the 2025 Rock Purchase, Bunker Creek Road, CRP 2209, was made on December 18, 2024. This contract provides for the production, stockpiling and loading of Crushed Surfacing Top Course. The project was advertised in the East County Journal, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, the OpenGov website, and the OMWBE website. Public Works received four bids for this project on January 16, 2025. 

Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, Sterling Breen Crushing, Inc.

Resolution

WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued December 18, 2024, for the 2025 Rock Purchase, Bunker Creek Road, CRP 2209; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted on January 16, 2025 from the contractors and hauling costs calculated as follows:

WHEREAS, Sterling Breen Crushing, Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the 2025 Rock Purchase, Bunker Creek Road, CRP 2209, project shall be awarded to Sterling Breen Crushing, Inc. in the amount of $32,340.00 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
