WHEREAS, the Facilities Department has determined the roof on the Toledo Senior Center Building is in need of replacement; and

WHEREAS, a bid call was issued using the Small Works roster process on November 19, 2024, and the responses were as follows:

Safecover Roofing LLC		$39,500.00
Coastline Roofing and Construction Inc.		$49,000.00

WHEREAS, Safecover Roofing has submitted the lowest responsible bid of $39,500.00 plus tax and permit fees; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 23-232, the BOCC defines "Agreement" as a contract that binds Lewis County to a course of action, such as change orders, grant applications or contract amendments; and

WHEREAS, An additional change order is needed in the amount of $24,500; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 23-232 further stipulates for agreements that total - or create a cumulative project total of $50,000 to $350,000, department heads must receive BOCC approval via resolution for agreements that total - or increase the cumulative project total to -- $50,000 to $350,000.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners hereby ratifies the signature of the Capital Facilities Manager on the contract with Safecover Roofing LLC - in the amount of $39,500.00 plus tax and permit fees - to complete the Roof Replacement Project; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners hereby ratifies the signature of the County Manager on the accompanying change order for $24,500.00 plus tax and permit fees for a contract total of $64,000, plus tax and permit fees for Project 31-2417, Toledo Senior Center Roof Replacement.
