Summary:

The County Engineer has determined that the easterly 664.28 feet of undeveloped  Roppert Road, in Sections 23 & 26, Township 12 North, Range 02 West, W.M., should be vacated and abandoned for the reason that it is useless as a part of the County Road system and that the public will benefit by its vacation and abandonment.  The report and all related materials having been reviewed by the BOCC and found appropriate for further proceedings

Vacation

First:  On December 11, 2024, the County Road Engineer filed his report in writing with the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) setting forth all things required by law to be set forth in the county engineers report.

Second:  On December 17, 2024, the BOCC passed Resolution 24-444, which fixed the 14th day of January 2025, at or after 10 a.m., in the Commissioner's Hearing Room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse, Chehalis, Lewis County, Washington, as the time and place for the hearing on the report of the County Engineer, and that the BOCC duly caused notice thereof to be published and posted as required by law.

NOW THEREFORE IT IS ORDERED the vacation of the easterly 664.28 feet of undeveloped Roppert Road right of way in Sections 23 & 26, Township 12 North, Range 2 West, W.M., as shown on Exhibit A, came regularly on for hearing, and due proof having been made to the satisfaction of the BOCC by affidavit of the posting and publication of the notices of hearing and BOCC having considered the engineer's report and all the evidence relative to such vacation, now here finds that the above described portion of Roppert Road is not to the County Road system and the Order of Vacation No. 25-001 is approved.
