Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 19-088 and RCW 36.40.060 notice is given that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has received the Preliminary Budget for 2025. Copies of the 2025 Preliminary Budget reports are available for review during normal office hours (8 a.m.- 5 p.m. weekdays) in the Budget Department located in the Historic Courthouse, 351 N.W. North Street, Room 209, Chehalis, WA or online at lewiscountywa.gov; and

WHEREAS, notice is further given that (1) the BOCC will hold a public informational meeting on the 2025 Preliminary Budget at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 13, 2024, in the BOCC Hearing Room, located in the Historic Courthouse, 351 N.W. North Street, in Chehalis; and (2) the BOCC will hold public hearings in the BOCC Hearing Room at or after 10 a.m. Dec. 2, 2024, to adopt the 2025 Budget and to fix the amount of the levies upon property in the county for 2025, and any taxpayer may appear there at and be heard for or against any part of the budget.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC will hold an informational public meeting on the Lewis County Budget for 2025 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 13, 2024; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC will hold public hearings in the BOCC Hearing Room at or after 10 a.m. Dec. 2, 2024, to adopt the 2025 Budget and to fix the amount of the levies upon property in the county for 2025; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, postings and publications as required by law.
