Summary:

The Sargent Road MP 1.33 Bridge Scour project, which is to be funded by FHWA, requires additional right of way for stabilization of the road.  The project will require additional temporary right of way from two property owners.  This resolution instructs the County Engineer to acquire the necessary right of way from two property owners.

Resolution

WHEREAS, stabilization of Sargent Road is needed at MP 1.33 due to a bridge scour; and

WHEREAS, the proposed work will require two temporary easements from two adjoining landowners; and

WHEREAS, this project is priority number 1 within the adopted and amended 2024-2029 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, this project is a necessary improvement and will benefit the public; and

WHEREAS, this resolution instructs the County Engineer to acquire additional temporary right of way as shown on the attached Exhibit from two property owners along Sargent Road.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County Engineer is instructed to acquire all right of way necessary for the bridge scour project on Sargent Road in Section 14 and 23, Township 12N, Range 2 West W.M., and directs that all such acquisitions be in accordance with adopted procedures as per Resolution 20-149.
