Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County is a self-insured entity for workers' compensation, it contracts with a Third Party Administrator (TPA), currently Penser North America, for claims processing ; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 01-327 established the imprest account for the purposes of payments to employees for time loss, disability, medical, other professional services, and related workers' compensation claims managed through the TPA; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 02-207 increased the imprest account working funds to $35,000; and

WHEREAS, current and projected account activity warrant an additional $20,000 in available funding for a total of $55,000.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an additional $20,000 be placed in the business checking account at the bank under the County's current banking contract managed by the County Treasurer for the purpose of  workers compensation claims; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Treasurer issue a check for $20,000 from County Insurance Fund No. 5100 for this purpose and the remaining provisions under Resolution No. 01-327 .
