AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE ORDER WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS

Resolution Number: 23-390

WHEREAS, the County manages and operates dispatching and records systems for emergency services; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary every five (5) years to refresh the hardware and software of the dispatch and records systems to maintain the appropriate level of support and warranty services; and

WHEREAS, Motorola Solutions is the sole source for the product and services being purchased; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Information Technology Services has identified the need for replacement hardware and upgraded software to meet the County's dispatching and records needs; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has granted department heads the authority to bind the county in amounts totaling $50,000 to $350,000 with BOCC approval, as outlined in Resolution No. 23-232.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Director of Information Technology Services, or his designee, to complete a purchase order with Motorola Solutions, as per the attached quote, to proceed with the hardware and software refresh for $318,715.00 plus applicable taxes.
