WHEREAS, Lewis County received a state direct appropriation of $2.5 million, through the Washington State Department of Commerce - Housing Trust Fund, to renovate two existing county-owned office buildings into an interim and final homeless shelter; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of the County to establish a Capital Projects Fund to account for financial activities related to homeless shelter capital expenditures.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the capital projects fund to be known as Homeless Shelter Capital Fund No. 3500 is hereby established to account for and report financial resources that are restricted for capital expenditures.
