NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING FOR ORDINANCE 1348, WHICH WOULD AMEND THE LEWIS COUNTY CODE RELATED TO RV PARKS AND CAMPGROUNDS
WHEREAS, Lewis County Community Development is proposing to amend Chapters 15.30 (Mobile Home Parks), 16.04 (Definitions), 17.10 (Definitions), 17.30 (Accessory Uses) and 17.42 (Zoning Summary), repeal Chapter 16.14 (Recreational Vehicle Park Divisions), and adopt new Chapter 17.144 (RV Parks and Campgrounds) of the Lewis County Code to clarify standards related to RV parks and campgrounds; and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held by the Lewis County Planning Commission on July 25, 2023, during which the Planning Commission considered testimony and voted to approve transmittal of a recommendation (Draft Ordinance 1348, Exhibit H) to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to adopt amendments to the Lewis County Code; and
WHEREAS, publication of notice and a hearing before the BOCC is required in order to take public testimony and formal action on the proposed amendments to the Lewis County Code, Chapter 17, Land Use and Development Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a hearing before the BOCC is hereby scheduled to take place at or after 10 a.m. on October 3, 2023, to receive public testimony on Ordinance 1348, which would amend Chapters 15.30 (Mobile Home Parks), 16.04 (Definitions), 17.10 (Definitions), 17.30 (Accessory Uses) and 17.42 (Zoning Summary), repeal Chapter 16.14 (Recreational Vehicle Park Divisions), and adopt new Chapter 17.144 (RV Parks and Campgrounds) of the Lewis County Code; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, postings and publications as required by law.
