WHEREAS, Lewis County is in the process of upgrading several buildings to house County offices and departments as part of an approved Capital Plan and two of those buildings are sited on what is known as the "Rainier Block"; and

WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared by KMB Architects for site improvements including sidewalks, parking, underground utilities so that these buildings can be occupied when the building improvements are complete; and

WHEREAS, these improvements will add significant parking to the campus for employees and visitors and will improve the character of the landscape and visual attractiveness of the campus.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Lewis County hereby issues a notice of a Call for Bids for the Rainier Block Site Improvements Project; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Capital Facilities Manager be, and he is, directed to prepare said Call for Bids and the BOCC Clerk of the Board is instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications for said said purpose; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED bids shall be submitted to the Lewis County Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, 351 NW North St, Room 210, Chehalis, WA  98532, in a sealed envelope marked “Rainier Block Site Improvements Project,” Attention: Rieva Lester, by 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
