WHEREAS, the roof of WSECU Building is in poor condition due to years of exposure, and it has exceeded life expectancy; and

WHEREAS, Lewis County requested bids from the Small Works Roster for provision of such materials and labor deemed necessary to meet the requirements, scope and specifications of said project. Bids were received as follows:

WHEREAS, the bids have been reviewed by the Facilities staff and appear to be responsive and meet the requirements of the project; and

WHEREAS, SafeCover Roofing LLC of Longview, Wash., provided the lowest apparent bid ($79,500 plus tax/permits).

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby awards the contract for the WSECU Building Roof Replacement Project to SafeCover Roofing LLC of Longview, Wash., in the amount of $79,500 plus tax, and the BOCC authorizes the Chief of Internal Services to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
