Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved Ordinance 1321 on October 5, 2020, establishing the authority for a County Manager; and

WHEREAS, County Manager Erik Martin has submitted his resignation effective April 3, 2023; and

WHEREAS, the BOCC finds that is is in the best public interest to appoint an interim County Manager until such time that Erik Martin's successor is hired; and

WHEREAS, Internal Services Chief Steve Wohld has expressed a willingness to serve as interim County Manager.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby appoints Steve Wohld interim County Manager -- until such time that Erik Martin's successor is hired -- with the salary at a Grade 139, Step 9 on the current Lewis County Salary Grid (13 Step Grid). The position shall follow the Direction for the Interim County Manager as outlined in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
