Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County has a Boundary Review Board (BRB), as established via RCW 36.93; and

WHEREAS, the BRB includes five members, including:

• Two individuals appointed by the governor of Washington
• One individual appointed by the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)
• One individual appointed by Lewis County's nine mayors
• One individual appointed by the other members of the BRB 

WHEREAS, members serve four-year terms; and

WHEREAS, the term for the BOCC's appointee, Steve Ward, expires Jan. 31, 2023, as per Resolution 19-204; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Shoemaker of Chehalis has expressed a willingness to serve on the Boundary Review Board; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best public interest to appoint an individual to fill the BOCC-appointed vacancy on the BRB.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby appoints Tyler Shoemaker to serve a four-year term on the Boundary Review Board through Jan. 31, 2027.
