Summary:

Approving a Purchase with Ednetics, an approved reseller for Cisco products for the purchase of Cisco Hosted Voice Licenses.  Ednetics is an approved Cisco partner to provide these licenses off Washington State Master Contract and NASPO ValuePoint contract.  Contract #05819, #AR3227

The Information Technology 5-year Strategic Plan shows the need to replace the existing, failing, County Phone system with a modern, Cloud Hosted VOIP (Voice over IP) phone system.

Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County Information Technology Services is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the current Lewis County Phone System; and

WHEREAS, the County's current phone system is past useful end of life for support, maintenance and performance; and

WHEREAS, as a local governmental agency, Lewis County has the ability to purchase these products and services at a discounted rate through the Department of Enterprise Solutions (DES), Agreement #K1998, and NASPO ValuePoint contracts, contract Nos. 05819 and AR3227; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has granted department directors the authority to bind the county in amounts totaling $50,000 to $200,000 with BOCC approval, as outlined in Resolution No. 21-038.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Director of Information Technology Services, or his designee, to complete a purchase order and sign a 5-year contract with Cisco and Ednetics, an approved Cisco partner, that is in excess of the above-mentioned $50,000 limitation.
