Resolution

WHEREAS, there is a need to hold a public hearing for the purpose of amending the 2022 budget for Current Expense and various funds; and

WHEREAS, all those wishing to speak for or against the amendment shall be afforded the opportunity to be heard. Said amendment will be available to review and can be obtained from the Board of County Commissioners’ (BOCC) Office. Written comments may be submitted to the BOCC prior to or during said hearing; and

WHEREAS, the BOCC hereby consents to allow 2022 budget appropriations for salaries and benefits to be expended on operational costs and Current Expense budgets are amended to be set at the department level and other funds are to be set at the fund level, provided that those administering such appropriations in the different offices and departments receive approval from the Budget Department of such transfer requests.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearing will be held before the Lewis County BOCC in the Historical Courthouse, 351 N.W. North Street, Chehalis, Washington, on the 27th day of December 2022.  The hearing will be held on or after 10:00 a.m. to consider an amendment to various departments within the 2022 budget for Current Expense and various funds, increasing expenditures in the amount of $1,514,267, offset with an increase in revenue in the amount of $1,844,300 and a increase of fund balance of $330,033; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC hereby consents to allow 2022 budget appropriations for salaries and benefits to be expended on operational costs and Current Expense budgets are amended to be set at the department level and other funds are to be set at the fund level and to allow approved changes between line items; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby instructs the Clerk of the Board to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, posting and publication for the hearings as required by law.
