WHEREAS, Lewis County identified a need for Tourism Promotion and Destination Marketing Services for the County’s “Discover Lewis County” tourism development program; and

WHEREAS, in consideration of outsourcing those services to a separate individual or organization, the county advertised a Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified individuals or organizations with expertise in providing tourism promotion and destination marketing services; and

WHEREAS, the Request for Proposal (RFP) was advertised with all the appropriate and necessary notifications; and

WHEREAS, County staff has reviewed submitted proposals and determined that Economic Alliance of Lewis County is the best qualified consultant to provide tourism promotion and destination marketing services; and

WHEREAS, a consultant agreement was negotiated with Economic Alliance of Lewis County for tourism promotion and destination marketing services and to be completed by December 31, 2025; and

WHEREAS, funding for the remainder of 2022 shall be in conformance with "Discover Lewis County" program's awarding of LTAC funds for the year 2022 and additional funding for this agreement will be contingent upon Economic Alliance securing LTAC or other applicable funding sources; and

WHEREAS, the County Manager has had the opportunity to review the agreement reached with Economic Alliance of Lewis County and recommends approval.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the consultant agreement for tourism promotion and destination marketing services for the County’s “Discover Lewis County” tourism development program shall be executed with Economic Alliance of Lewis County and upon presentation of such a consultant agreement, the County Manager is authorized to sign on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
