LISTING OF BIDS AND CONTRACTOR SELECTED FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS HVAC PROJECT, #31-2112H
WHEREAS, Lewis County is renovating an office building at 57 W. Main Street in Chehalis to house the Public Works Department near the County Courthouse, and said building is in need of a new HVAC system to meet current energy code requirements and provide a useful service life for the building; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications were prepared by KMB Architects and Hultz Engineers to provide an HVAC system to meet the project requirements; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County issued a call for bids for the project on May 24, 2022, and the responses were:

WHEREAS, it appears Capital Heating and Cooling has submitted the lowest responsive bid in the amount of $324,500.00, which is slightly below the engineer's estimate of $398,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Public Works HVAC Project #31-2112H be awarded to Capital Heating and Cooling of Lacey, Wash., in the amount of $324,500; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Capital Facilities Manager is authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
