WHEREAS, carpet and flooring materials in the Law and Justice building are over 20 years old and are beyond their useful life; and

WHEREAS, replacement will involve the removal of existing furniture, flooring, computers and phones, requiring after-hours and weekend work to avoid disrupting day-to-day operations; and

WHEREAS, bids were solicited, and Spectra Contract Flooring submitted the lowest bid; and

WHEREAS, Spectra Contract Flooring is a vendor on the State contract; and

WHEREAS, the bid was reviewed and deemed reasonable for services provided; and

WHEREAS, Facilities recommends Spectra Contract Flooring be awarded a contract for $273,398.55 to perform removal, disposal and replacement of flooring on the first floor of the Law and Justice Building.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby approves contracting with Spectra Contract Flooring for $273,398.55 to remove, dispose of and replace flooring on the first floor of the Law and Justice Building; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC hereby directs the Facilities Administrator to prepare said contract sign the same on behalf of the BOCC.
