Resolution
APPROVE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH THE SALVATION ARMY FOR SERVICES AND SHELTER FOR PEOPLE EXPERIENCING OR AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) of Lewis County, Washington, has reviewed Professional Services Agreement #T01-0123-21 between Lewis County Public Health & Social Services and The Salvation Army of Lewis County; and
WHEREAS, funding is provided from the Washington State Department of Commerce, through the Department of Treasury unit for the Treasury Rental Assistance Program (TRAP), in the amount of $4,518,908.00 to provide for people in Lewis County who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness; and
WHEREAS, this agreement is effective from March 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said professional services contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the professional services agreement between Lewis County and The Salvation Army of Lewis County to provide services and/or shelter for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the amount of $4,518,908.00 from March 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021, is hereby approved, and the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
