Resolution

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Lewis County, Washington, has reviewed Amendment #1 to the Solid Waste Management Local Solid Waste Financial Assistance Agreement (SWMLSWFA-2019-LCPHSS-00073) between Lewis County and Washington Department of Ecology (DOE); and

WHEREAS, the grant amendment will provide an additional $13,316 in funds with a 25 percent match requirement of $4,438.67 from Lewis County for a total amount of $17,754.67, which is added to the original amount for a combined total amount of $107,538 effective July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2021; and

WHEREAS, funds will be used to reimburse Lewis County for Solid Waste enforcement and permitting activities; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Amendment #1 between Lewis County and Washington State DOE is hereby approved for $13,316 with a County match of $4,438.67 for a total of $17,754.67, which is added to the original amount for a combined total of $107,538 from July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2021, and the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
