Resolution
APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN LEWIS COUNTY AND THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE TO PROVIDE TREASURY RENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FUNDS THROUGH THE HOUSING ASSISTANCE UNIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,867,482
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed Agreement #21-4616C-116 with the Department of Commerce (DOC) Housing Assistance Unit; and
WHEREAS, funds will be used to pay past-due and future rent as well as past-due utilities to prevent evictions; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Agreement #21-4616C-116 between Lewis County and DOC to provide Treasury Rent Assistance Program Grant funds through the Housing Assistance Unit in the amount of $4,867,482 from March 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021, is hereby approved and the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
