Summary:

Extend the duration to the current MOU between Lewis County and the Housing Resource Center. This amendment adds funds to the Isolation & Quarantine hotel facility for services effective February 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021. The contracted services are for persons who are homeless or are unable to isolate or quarantine in their own homes that reside in Lewis County.

Resolution

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), Lewis County, Washington, has reviewed Amendment #Housing Resource Center COVID-19 B with Housing Resource Center (HRC) to provide additional funds for persons who are homeless or are unable to isolate or quarantine in their own homes; and

WHEREAS, funding will be used to isolate and quarantine people in a hotel facility; and

WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $50,000 is added to the original amount of $100,000 for a combined total of $150,000 effective February 1, 2021, through June 30, 2021; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said amendment.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Amendment #Housing Resource Center COVID-19B between Lewis County and HRC to provide funds to be used for isolation and quarantine of people in a hotel facility in the amount of $50,000 for a combined total of $150,000 from February 1, 2021, through June 30, 2021, is hereby approved and the Director of Public Health & Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
