This resolution will ratify a consultant agreement and approve a supplement over $50,000 for the design and engineering of Fish Passable Structures 2021 consultant contract with PBS Engineering and Environmental, Inc.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 21-038, approval from the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is required for all contracts, projects, agreement, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures totaling between $50,000 and $200,000; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 20-404 was issued by the BOCC in order to solicit submittals from consultants to complete work for the design and engineering of grant funded fish passable structures. Lewis County Public Works does not have the required resources to complete this work within the scheduled time; and

WHEREAS, on January 19, 2021, the Director of Public Works approved an Annual Consultant Agreement with PBS Engineering and Environmental, Inc. for services for design and engineering of Grant Funded Fish Passable Structures. The agreement was for a maximum amount payable of $140,000; and

WHEREAS, Supplement #1 in the amount of $100,000 is required in order to complete work for new anticipated Task Orders for culvert replacements at Labree and Borovec as well as amendments to existing task orders.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the consultant Agreement previously executed by the Public Works Director and Supplement #1 are hereby approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
