Summary:

Approving an Amendment to the Agreement between Lewis County and the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for Berwick Creek Barrier Removal and Realignment (Logan Hill Rd MP 0.103, CMP 1805). The amendment will increase the project funding from $130,857.00 to $149,197.70.

Approval of this resolution authorizes the Chair of the BOCC to sign Amendment #5 between Lewis County and the RCO and approves the cost change.

Resolution

WHEREAS, Public Works has listed fish passage restoration projects on the maintenance program; and

WHEREAS, Public Works has received grant funding administered through the RCO for the Berwick Creek Barrier Removal and Realignment (Logan Hill Rd MP 0.103, CMP 1805), RCO #17-1148P; and

WHEREAS, an amendment is necessary to increase the project agreement from $130,857.00 to $149,197.70. The additional funding is through the Salmon Recovery Funding Board in the amount of $9,170.35 and a Lewis County match of $9,170.35; and

WHEREAS, the conditions of receiving the grant funding require an agreement signed by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Chair; and

WHEREAS, the Public Works County Engineer has reviewed the amendment between Lewis County and the RCO.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC has determined that proceeding with the amendment for the Berwick Creek Barrier Removal and Realignment (Logan Hill Rd MP 0.103, CMP 1805), RCO #117-1148P, is in the best public interest and hereby approves the Chair of the BOCC to sign.
