This ILA establishes a joint local emergency management organization to meet the emergency management needs within Lewis County and to fulfill the requirements of RCW 38-52-070 and WAC 118-30-040

APPROVE THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT (ILA) FOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES BETWEEN LEWIS COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND THE CITY OF CENTRALIA, CITY OF VADER, CITY OF TOLEDO, CITY OF WINLOCK, AND THE TOWN OF PE ELL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed the Interlocal Agreements between Lewis County Emergency Management and the City of Centralia, City of Vader, City of Toledo, City of Winlock, and the Town of Pe Ell; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of the Interlocal Agreements; and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Agreements provide the 2021 fee for Lewis County Emergency Management services at $4.00 per person in each city based on the current Office of Financial Management Official Population Estimate.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED (1) the Interlocal Agreements for Emergency Management services between Lewis County Emergency Management and the City of Centralia, City of Vader, City of Toledo, City of Winlock, and the Town of Pe Ell are hereby approved; and (2) the Chair of the BOCC is authorized to sign on behalf of Lewis County.
