WHEREAS, Lewis County has purchased the properties on the 100 block of Chehalis Ave to develop office space as part of the Capital Plan and have begun renovating the property located at 185 NW Chehalis Ave.; and

WHEREAS, the roof of said building is failing and is in dire need of replacement and a bid call was made using the Small Works Roster with the following response(s); and

WHEREAS, Scholten Roofing of Lyndon, WA submitted the lowest responsive base bid of $148,131.19 to tear-off existing roof and replace with the specified PCV membrane roofing system, insulation and drainage system; and

WHEREAS, with accepted bid alternates the final contract price is $143,931.19 and appears reasonable.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the 185 NW Chehalis Ave. Roofing Project be awarded to Scholten Roofing of Lyndon, WA for $143,931.19; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Internal Services be authorized to sign said contract of behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
