Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 11-437, an after-the-fact Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) ratification is required for all contracts, projects, agreements, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures in excess of $40,000 but less than $150,000 annually per project; and

WHEREAS, an original contract with Good Crushing Inc. was approved pursuant to Resolution 19-338 dated November 18, 2019, in the amount of $264,481.91; and

WHEREAS, Public Works went to bid in October 2019 with an initial chipseal program of 82.82 miles and an initial 3R program of 1.109 miles on Tauscher Road. At the end of January 2020, Hyak, Tune, and Wilson Roads were added to the 3R program and an additional 41.78 were added to the chipseal program for various roads in Lewis County which resulted in 3 change orders to meet the need for additional rock.

Total Contract including Change Orders		$396,536.91

 ; and

WHEREAS, the final purchase of rock from the contract with Good Crushing Inc. amounted to $389,525.07, which is $125,043.16 over the original contract amount.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract change orders described above and previously executed by the Public Works Department are hereby ratified by the BOCC for the total amount of $389,525.07.
