WHEREAS, RCW 67.28.1817 states that a municipality with a population of 5,000 (five thousand) or more should establish a Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC); and

WHEREAS, the committee must include at least five members, including at least two members who are representatives of businesses required to collect tax under this chapter (“providers”) and at least two involved in activities authorized to be funded by lodging tax revenue (“users”); and

WHEREAS, Larry Jones, who represented a "provider" entity and was appointed to the LTAC via Resolution 18-065, resigned effective February 2, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Trent Richardson, who represents a "provider" entity through his work as General Manager COO at Lake Mayfield Resort & Marina, has indicated an interest in the process and a willingness to serve on the committee.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners hereby appoints Trent Richardson to complete Larry Jones's unexpired LTAC term expiring December 31, 2021.
