Resolution

WHEREAS, a structural failure pertaining to the supports that brace the Eyebrow Roof on the south end of the Historic Grandstands at the SWW Fairgrounds has been identified; and

WHEREAS, it has been identified as an imminent risk to persons or property; and

WHEREAS, repairs must begin as soon as reasonably possible to protect the safety of staff and other occupants of the SWW Fairgrounds; and

WHEREAS, after seeking bids from several companies to repair the affected area's in the timeframe deemed reasonable, Ouellette Construction has been recognized as the lowest responsive bidder.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Ouellette Construction of Toledo, Washington, be awarded the contract for $81,776.18 to provide labor and materials as per the agreed upon contract to make said repairs to the Eyebrow Roof Structure Support System; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Chief of Internal Services be authorized to sign said contract on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners .
